Cypress Family Fellowship began public worship services on September 11, 2005, in a small coffee shop with about 40 people. The leadership had been praying about a new work they believed God wanted them to begin in northwest Harris county, and by the end of 2005, Cypress Family Fellowship had grown to about 100 people. The church began to look for a facility that would fit their needs and in February of 2006, CFF started holding services at the Langham Creek YMCA and stayed in that facility for three years.
An amazing thing happened in late 2008. CFF was approached by another near-by church whose pastor had left. Because of the very unstable economic times, they were faced with a decision to sell their church property or try to hang on and make it work somehow. Through a mutual acquaintance, CFF and this small dedicated group of believers were connected and the decision was reached that the two congregations should merge, providing leadership and direction from one congregation and a debt-free facility and new location from the other. The two churches became one in January of 2009. God is so faithful in His provision! Since that time CFF has continued to grow and reach our new community for Christ.
We believe our best days are still ahead of us and hope that you will join us on our journey to make much of our Savior and serve our community.
Our mission is simple: We are here to know God and make Him known. We exist as a church first and foremost to know God. Now obviously we don’t believe we can know everything about God, but we do hope to connect with Him on an intimate basis. Our goal every week in our services is to experience God in some capacity, whether through the music, video testimonies or the message. Each week when you attend CFF, you will hear how to get connected with God in personal relationship. We hope that God will choose to meet with us, speak to us, and change us. We want to know Him more.
We also desire to make Him known. This means we will speak about Him, share what He has done for us, talk about His goodness and His grace. We want to speak of Him in the marketplace, in our neighborhoods, and in the relationships God brings our way. We are about telling others the good news of Jesus Christ.
If you are interested in finding out more on how to begin a relationship with God or how to get connected with Him, feel free to drop us an email and someone from the church will contact you shortly.
