The leaders in the “Cypress Family Forest” want to partner with you. At Cypress Family Fellowship, we feel our calling is to prepare our children for Christ-centered living. We are committed to fun, fellowship and knowing God’s Word!

Our goal is that children will know Christ, understand His Word, grow in their own spiritual walk and be able to share the love of Christ with others.

Children’s Ministry FAQ

WHERE SHOULD I GO WITH MY CHILDREN ON SUNDAY MORNINGS?
Your first Sunday at Cypress Family Fellowship, our team of leaders and volunteers will be there to check your children in. They will receive a name tag with a number. You will have a sticker with a matching number to check them out after class. We will choose an appropriate class for each of your children and escort you to class to introduce you to the teachers and other children. At that time, we will happy to answer any questions you may have.
WHAT WILL MY CHILDREN DO ON SUNDAY MORNINGS?
Babies, preschoolers and children will have fun engaging in activities specifically designed for them on Sunday mornings. Children and preschoolers are grouped in classes by age or grade-level. They enjoy art, music, recreation and other activities centered on a Bible story and spiritual truth during each hour. Our goal is for children to have fun and make friends while learning about God.
WHO WILL BE CARING FOR MY CHILDREN?
Your children will love going to class with our gifted team of committed teachers! All of our volunteers and leaders have been carefully screened. We have an application process and criminal history check. In addition, every room has at least two volunteers at all times to ensure that each child receives great supervision. Because we value the safety of your children, our preschool hallway, children’s hallway and common areas are also monitored by a security volunteer.
WHAT IF MY CHILD NEEDS ME DURING CLASS?
If your child becomes ill or distressed in class, we will flash your child’s sticker # on the screen in service. This way you can care for him/her. If your child has any special needs or allergies we request that you inform us on your visit so that we can provide the highest quality care and ministry to your child.
WHAT IS THE SUNDAY MORNING SCHEDULE?
At 9:15 a.m. we have childcare for babies through kindergarten and a Bible studies for children in 1st through 6th. At 10:30 a.m. we have classes for children up through 3rd grade. We encourage children in 4th grade and up to attend the worship service with their family.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME IN WORSHIP?
At Cypress Family Fellowship children are always welcome in worship. Your children may attend services in the Worship Center with you if desired.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE MY CHILD IF HE/SHE HAS SPECIAL NEEDS?
There is a place for every child here at Cypress Family Fellowship! We value the opportunity to minister to children with special needs. All children are invited to attend our children’s programs. If a child with special needs simply needs some modifications in the classroom, we will provide a friend to work with the children in our regular programs. Please communicate your child’s needs with staff and volunteers.
WHAT SECURITY MEASURES DOES THIS CHURCH HAVE TO PROTECT MY CHILD?
The safety of children is one of our highest priorities at Cypress Family Fellowship. To ensure that only parents and other authorized adults are allowed to pick up your children, we have a security number system for babies through 4th grade. On your first visit, we ask that fill out a welcome card. This ensures that your son or daughter is placed in the correct classes. We will provide your child with a numbered visitor badge. You will have a sticker with a matching number. Children through 4th grade should be escorted to and picked-up from class by a parent. Your sticker (with the number matching your child’s number) must be presented to the teacher in the classroom after church to pick up your child. Only the parent or individual with the matching number may pick up the child. After your first visit, we are happy to add your child to our roster so that their name will also be printed on their badge. If you lose your sticker, we ask that you provide a picture ID to pick up your child. If you do not have a pictured ID or the security card, a staff member is called. The staff member will determine if that adult is authorized to pick up the child.
